Going to Singapore for the first time, our mission was to try to infamous chili crabs. Singapore is known for the spotless clean, shopping malls and CHILI SAUCE. Everywhere you go whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner - they must have a bottle of chili sauce. I even mistaken ketchup with chili sauce. Egg sandwich doesn't go well with chili sauce - I must say.
One restaurant that I know or Anthony Bourdain had documented in one of his shows for the best chili crab - The Jumbo Restaurant. Jumbo Restaurant is a franchise, open in 8 different locations in Asia. We went to Clark Quay by the riverside. Quark Quay is a happening spot for trendy bars, clubs and restaurants. One thing to do before heading for Jumbo Restaurant - must reserve a table. We waited for 45 mins for our table. I guess it was worth the wait. The food was fabulous and very memorable. We endured the high humidity and devoured the plates.
