Malayasian yummies

Since I moved to Queens almost 3 months ago, I've been exploring all the eateries in my neighborhood. A lot more variety of Asian restaurants compared to the Bronx. I do think I need to try to watch what I'm eating and do a little more workout since I've been gaining some weights. Well, today was a beautiful warm day and I decided to ask my friend to have dinner around Elmhurst. We decided to have Malaysian food for the fact that I love Roti Canai (Indian style pancake). We headed to Penang - been reviewed by The Bayside Times, New York Magazine, Newsday, The best of Dining 1993 and 1994 Zagat Times, The New York Times and Dining Out.

My friend noticed that Penang has renovated the interior to a more modern twist. But does the new renovation bets the quality of the food? I ordered Roti Canai and Kari Sayor Mee (Curry Coconut Milk Noodle soup with Chicken). And my friend had Roti Canai and Hainanese Chicken. Of course, Roti Cani was very yummy - you can't go wrong with that. As for my Kari Sayor Mee, it was very thick and creamy not what I expected. The chicken was hard to chew because it was mostly bones. Overall, the meal was good.

Roti Canai - $3.25

Kari Sayor Mee - $4.50

Hainanese Chicken (Half) - $8.95
