My former boss from an Art Collector brownstone took me out to a Japanese restaurant. I was thinking was would be a mediocre place but I was wrong. I opened the swinging door to find a man sliding another door for me. The man behind the reservation spot asked me to take my puffy jacket. The surround has a nice spacious atmosphere, as well as a very exquisite setting. The menu was very pretty; a translucent pages with printed texts. Alot of varieties that it took me a while to get the right one. I decided to get a prefix meal; chirashi with mochi green tea ice cream. The waitress handed us a hot wet towel to wipe our hands; sometimes people would wipe their faces. Our entrees came and the waitress explained how to eat chirashi. She also directed the which fish is which rolls. My former boss, Jo Ann Wasserman, a writer and I had a great conversation. The meal was so delicious. I had a pizza before this lunch but I managed to finished my chirashi. It was so fresh and delicious. We had our mochi green tea ice cream, a Japanese rice cake with ice cream in it. It was my first time having it and it was very light and yummy. I do not have picture but it something that you have to come to experience the Japanese style.
